The summer camp was organized by the Palestine Diabetes Institute - Al-Bireh Branch and the Palestine Children's  Relief Fund. The camp lasted for one week and included many recreational and educational activities related to diabetes and a healthy lifestyle which includes balanced and appropriate meals for the age groups participating in the camp, whether of type 1 diabetics or other non-diabetic  children. The camp included several events throughout the past week, such as recreational and artistic games, the presence of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's clowns, and giving sessions to teach children the right way to take insulin, deal with low and high blood sugar, as well as eye examination. In its turn, the Palestinian Diabetes Institute thanks the Palestine Children's .Relief Fund  for providing the participants with gifts The Institute also extends special thanks to nutritionist Rasha Shawawra and health educator Suhair Alian for their outstanding efforts to make the camp a success.
